Harvest is shifting gears fast this year. Despite the frequent rain delays, many farmers are jumping straight from cereals into canola — and soybeans are hurrying to join the party. It’s like the fields have organized a synchronized harvest event… but forgot to clear it with the logistics department. Typical! 😂

Crop Update:
Harvest in the Valley continues to be a lesson in patience. Heavy dews and scattered rainfall have slowed cereal movement, thankfully grain quality is tracking well given the conditions.
Canola is/was coming off aggressively in many fields, overlapping with cereals and compressing the harvest window. The most recent rain has paused many in the Red River Valley.
Corn continues to advance toward physiological maturity under the recent heat and humidity
Soybeans are exhibiting accelerated senescence — we may see early harvest in beans this year
Overall, yields look respectable, careful attention to field-specific conditions will be critical over the next two weeks.
