Some corn is turning; some has a long way to go!
Wrapped up the canola trials and dove straight into soybean trials.
Nitrate residuals after canola average 36 lbs but range from 8 to 100lbs/ac....

The weather forecast is NOT favorable for NH3 or urea applications....
Keep watching for weed resistance as you harvest. We are continuing to uncover waterhemp in new areas. Focus on fields near major drains and waterways.
Although its not cool enough for fall nitrogen applications, you can start to address maintenance applications of phosphate ahead of next year's soybeans.
With recent rains and warm weather, weed and volunteer growth has been excellent. Did you know that pigweeds can grow a new head with viable seed in under two weeks? Keep weed management top of mind as the fall season progresses.
