With harvest well underway we hope the beginning of the season has been running smoothly for you.
You may be tired of hearing it, however, we can not stress it enough: You NEED to be scouting your acres for waterhemp!! We are finding it all over the Red River Valley and in areas we would not expect it to be popping up.
**We are now seeing multiple fields where we noticed a few plants here and there 2 weeks ago but we are finding many more as it emerges above the crop canopy...

As you are harvesting start planning next season's weed control! Look at applying some pre-emergent herbicides this fall to manage next spring's workload.
Keep an eye on soybean aphid hotspots.
Some rain in the forecast for Monday, with possibilities of more later in the week.
