This season, we’re diving into two key on-farm research trials aimed at boosting crop performance, enhancing soil health, and improving both residue management and weed control.
Here’s what we’re testing:
1️. EcoTea HDI Residue Digester Trial
- Evaluating how EcoTea HDI impacts residue breakdown, soil health, water infiltration and crop emergence over multiple years within the farm’s crop rotation
- Comparing standard and double application rates against an untreated check
- Measuring yield impact and soil health changes
2️. Corn Row Spacing & Weed Control Trial
- Testing whether 15-inch row spacing improves weed suppression and boosts yield compared to 30-inch rows
- Analyzing plant emergence, weed pressure, and harvest data
- Evaluating the economic benefits of different row spacings
Why it matters: These trials are designed to provide real, farm-scale insights to help growers make data-driven decisions for healthier soils, higher yields, and better weed management.
