Hard to believe we are coming to the end of another month. As harvest comes to an end, we hope you all had a successful season.
We are in the beginning planning stages for Farm Days 2025. Looking forward to seeing you all there - January 8 & 9th.

Ever conduct individual yield estimates on 1200 cobs of corn? Thankfully there is an APP for that! A function inside Granular Insights calculates yield using your phones camera to count kernels.This season we conducted a corn planting date trial with 3 different dates. One of the measures we were looking at was how planting date might affect days to emergence and ultimately yield. The treatments were replicated 6 times and we evaluated two rows per strip.
2. With few weather delays, harvest and field work has been cruising along at a steady pace. We should be wrapping up the last few corn trials by the weekend.
3. Fall fertilizer applications have been steady with very few delays due to supply crunches. The only delays we have experienced thus far have been in getting soil test results back from the lab due to a steady harvest.
4. We are building more surface drainage maps this year! With the wet weather this summer showing a need for improved drainage, we have been receiving a big increase in demand for surface drainage maps. From paper maps to digital ones you can load as a back ground in your ditching software, we can do it all!
5. Lastly if you are in our Insights Benchmarking Program, please take the time to send us your information. We are going to make a big push in November to get you information back before year end!
